Construction Details:

Oh the Stalker Girl. This is one of the outfits that Tsunetsuki wears after she decides that she's in love with Zetsubo Sensei. She conforms herself into what she believes is the "ideal woman" for each guy she falls in love with; since her sensei wears traditional clothing, she must as well. Kimono top and hakama were made by me. Inner top layer drawstring closes, outer layer is fully lined. The pants were stenciled by hand (I based the stencil off a traditional Japanese design) and took roughly 24-30 hours to complete.

Personal Thoughts:

Oh my gosh, the hakama. I've never painted about four yards of fabric one stencil at a time before and it definitely took a lot of endurance. Not sure if I'd ever do that again (especially after the fabric was sewn together like I foolishly did for this). The whole outfit is heavy and slightly awkward, which I suppose means it's a success. ^_^
