Like Kapalaka on FacebookThe wig started off as a Faux Fatale from Amphigory. I figured it would be comparably thick like the Femme Fatale, and boy was I right. The front looked perfect, and I cut away all of the hair in the back to sew on stryrofoam cones I shaped. I then covered the cones with wig hair and combed my bangs into the wig for a more realistic look.
For the hands, I made a base out of Popsicle sticks and tin foil and covered it in a layer of model magic. That stuff really is magic, I swear by it now. I then cut cracks into the palms using my own hands as a reference and painted details. NOTE!!! Model Magic gets squishy when you paint it again! I didn't know that, but it worked out somehow. -_-' I guess just give it extra dry time. I then cut out nails from foamies, glued, and painted them with glitter. =D Mmmm. I gots to have my nails did.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This is my dream costume. Parasite Eve was my first and favorite video game when the Playstation first came out. I've played through it at least five times. I even got the rom and put it up on my PC so I could get snapshots for wallpapers and icons later. XD

- Styling Notes
- I cut off all the hair from the entire back half of the wig to sew in the styrofoam cones. Because Eve's hair is supposed to look goopy, I needed to achieve that look while getting the hair to stay up. I ended up using acrylic paints suggested by Katie Bair to get it to stay in place and to give the dark hair the same dimensionality as Eve's.
- Wig Review
- This wig can take a beating, so don't worry about running into walls with it.
