Construction Details:

I've never done a Lolita dress before, but when I discoverd Wa-lolita (kimono style lolita dresses), I couldn't resist! And once I found the perfect black sakura kona cotton print on ebay, I no longer had any excuse not to do it xD;. I had been itching to make a) a super frilly dress or b) an elegant kimono, and this style somehow meshes the two perfectly.

Personal Thoughts:

Recently I revamped this costume to wear with Miaka-chan to a Lady Gaga concert!! The dress stayed the same, but we styled Gaga wigs complete with light-up lantern hairpieces (they say "Gaga" on them in katakana)! The concert was an absolute blast, and our outfits were a huge hit... so much fun
