It was all left over material I had. I've always liked the colors in those uniforms, so I figured hey why not?

Personal Thoughts:

Neptune was always my favorite of the senshi. I made the costume and then after asked Corey if he would be my Haruka. The plaid for my outfit, I found at the thrift store. With that in mind, it was impossible to find a match for the plaid on his costume. So, I decided to use paint markers and paint on all the stripes. It took at least 25 hours just to make the fabric for the paints and tie, but when I told people that story at the con, they had no idea! They thought I had bought it that way and it was a pretty close match that they didn't notice.*relief sigh* I had made the costume 4 months back, but wasn't really pleased with it, almost too embarrassed to wear it. I guess I was afraid of not doing it justice since sailor moon cosplay is held on such a high scale by all the fans. When I was wearing it at the con though, I felt in character and totally comfortable. It also helped that my love was Haruka, which was really special. *___*
