Construction Details:

Armor: Made of WonderFlex and MagicSculpt
Fabrics: PVC, vinyl, and some peculiar synthetic crinkle stuff for the 'tail'.

Personal Thoughts:

I'd been waiting several years to enter the Dawn contest, and to figure out what I was going to do seemed a task in and of itself. The phoenix idea just hit me one day while I was fighting with replicating a Christmas ornament. I was in the middle of pattern drafting and suddenly.. "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" Next thing you know, there was the idea.

This was also the first time that Darieum and I did a set of costumes and a presentation together. Poor guy suffered greatly for it...he developed an allergic reaction to MagicSculpt and now is unable to use it without wearing gloves :(
