When I went to the 5th movie premiere with Ryuichi & PikminLink & her brother (they were in costume, I was not), a girl turned to me and went, "Snape?" And maybe that's not a compliment, but it got the bug in my brain that I should do it. Cut to a few months later when the 7th book was being released - Sai had his Draco, PL her Harry - so I used my Nekozawa cape and embroidered some yarn into the neck of a v-neck sweater I had thrifted for. I think it turned out pretty swell. Worth redying my hair black for anyway (though I started using a wig later at ALA '08). Funtimes, and a great response from kids & parents at the book release. Sort of won second place in the costume contest, but c'mon, a kid as Dobby? Who could or would want to beat that?
