One of my favorite and simplest props there is! This is my Book and apple set that I use to carry with me when I am Misa! The Book is just a black journal which I tried to "age" it but making it dusty. I wrote the Death Note title on top of it. The apple WAS a brass paper weight (yes it is very heavy!). But I painted it and it looks like a juicy fruit!
