Construction Details:

D.Gray-myu wanted to do something special as it closed in on our one year anniversary. Jabi had gotten the idea to do "kimono" versions Though most of the cast is European, they do spend a good amount of time in China and Japan. Also, the character I cosplay, his sister, and several others are Chinese. So those of us who cosplayed Chinese characters did Chinese formalwear versions instead of kimono. That was all pretty jumbled! But the group ended up looking like a fantastic brocade RAINBOW, and these were fun to wear. I have since sold my formalwear to D.Gray-myu's current Komui, but I'm pretty proud of this costume - the overcoat is fully lined, all the inside of the white parts are pinked, and it was a lot of fun to make.
