About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Patches and I talked of doing Fire Emblem cosplay together for about a year before these costumes actually happened. I'm glad I picked Serra because her design was perfect for my skill level at the time. The dress is poly-satin and the cape is crepe. I made a blue slip instead of adding a panel at the slit of the dress because white can be very unforgiving in the wrong light. The belt was salvaged from a blue belt I already had with the ghetto-fabulous addition of foamies decked out with puffy paint, resin gems, and bracelet chain.
The lovely staff was made for me by Patches. The more recent pictures, I borrowed the staff made by my friend Mary! - Personal Thoughts:
- This was such a fun costume to wear! Patches was my Erk, so cosplaying with her was a great deal of fun. The costume slowly came together over the course of two years as I gathered materials little by little until we could finally find a con to wear them to.
