Construction Details:

I love Cloud 9's character, despite the fact that she barely gets any showtime in the series at all, so I was really excited to cosplay her. The scars were created by putting on 5~6 layers of Ben Nye liquid latex, then sealed with a layer of castor oil, blotted, then I put foundation powder over it and lined some of the edges with brown liner to bring out the scars more, and also blended a little bit of brown eyeliner and rose colored lipliner onto the dried latex to make it look more scar like. I chose a black satin-like fabric for the top, it has a little bit of sheen to it, but doesn't BLIND you in flash photos, which I liked. The hardest part was probably the sleeves, since it was hard to get the poofy shoulder part right, and it kept sliding off my left shoulder.... I also made Lau Jimin the monkey. He's made entirely out of hotglue LOL. But I made him a little bit too big and didn't have enough time to figure out a way to get him to stay on my shoulder, so he was falling off most of the time XD

Personal Thoughts:

There are definitely parts I want to improve on this costume, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with it =) Photos may have been edited/cropped/tweaked slightly by me, such as removing safety pins and bra straps that were showing from the photos etc. I want to make her General uniform, hopefully sometime this year~
