Construction Details:

Go Team Venture. Taken at Megacon, I was so happy I wasn't the only person who cosplayed from Venture Brother's on Sunday, but I didn't get too many pictures with her. I tried to make the outfit a little more concealing than her actual outfit, and well I'm happy with how it turned out.

Queen Etherea is Dr. Girlfriend's previous costume. She wore it while working for Phantom Limb.

Personal Thoughts:

I didn't go with completely see-through material for the top layer since I wanted to be a little more modest than the costume would actually allow. Plus, when you look at her in this costume it does have a little of a "shadowed" look to it.

I've never had to sew sheer material like this before, it was quite difficult. Slipping and sliding out of place. When I was penning the bottom hem it took almost an hour to get it straight. It was worth it however, Venture Brother's is a wonderful show.

The layer below was made out of a heavy weight cotton that I cut several times to make it match my shape. I got in and out through the right side where I place velcro closures reinforced with snaps. The back attached to the collar of the upper layer to ensure that all pieces stayed in place and that the bottom layer had little room for movement other than my own.
