so I took a costuming class at my college two semesters ago and this was our finial project....our only project really. Anyways, we were supposed ot be making costumes for the Halloween sale in october, but we had the option of making a costume for ourselves :) So I chose a relatively simple CCS dress and worked on that for the whole semester. it was really cute the one year I wore it :) it took about five yards of satin and six yards of netting for the underskirt. The whole costume cost about $50 but the amount of time I put into it was unbelievable. two hours three days a week for seven weeks plus another 15 hours after I was done with the semester :) SO almost 60 hours, which is ridiculous for such a simple costume....but it was the first one I had ever made entirely on my own, so it took a little longer than all my others :P
