Construction Details:

The kimono is (incorrectly) made in two parts: wrap top with box sleeves and a wrap skirt. All the flames are iron-on tie-dyed cotton, over two layers of kona cotton. False obi is made in cotton, with batting for padding and attached with lacing in the back, covered by the false obi loops. Rob Lantz made the wooden sandals and my finger knives out of wood.

Personal Thoughts:

I've given this costume to my niece. Definitely loved this costume and how it looked at the time but could make it so much better nowadays.

Styling Notes

Two basic braids but the hair loops are painted plastic toy rings. The ends of the hair is covered in black spandex stitched over the braid ties, to hide the edges.
