Construction Details:

Made for Janicon, Karin is a sweet and lovely character. I was so happy to finally and formally cosplay something by Koge-Donbo.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume consisted of a ton of hand gathering and lots of pink fabric. The most difficult part was by far the huge bow in the back. Not due to construction, but due to lack of creativity as to making it stand up. I placed boning in it as well as very stiff interfacing and neither alone could do it. Eventually I attached the bow to the sleeves and that supplied the last bit of necessary support. The shoes I dyed myself as they were originally white and the crown was made as a surprise by my grandfather. He made it out of coat hangers! He was so creative! The skirt is four layers. Two of white, one of pink and one of lighter pink. It was so comfortable it felt like I didn't have one on at all.
