THIS COSTUME IS A COLLABORATION. Sparkle Pipsi and I worked together on it. I made the wig and the dress, and she made everything else. Shut up with this wig. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever done. I used 3/8 copper tubing for a frame. I cut slits in a a shoulder length blonde wig and threaded the copper tubing frame through that. Then I padded the frame with upholstery foam and wrapped the whole thing in duck tape. I spray painted it all pale yellow, and then caulked the hair from the wig up on to the frame. And then it was time for...extensions. I probably spent about 70 hours in my garage caulking extensions on to this wig. I am not kidding you. For those last two weeks before AX, I would come home from work at 5, eat dinner, go to my garage, and caulk extensions until Conan O'Brian ended. Bugs fell from the ceiling. I ruined all my pants and three pairs of scissors because of caulk. I went through 14 tubes of caulk and 7 packs of extensions. Those were probably the worst two weeks of my life, but it's over and I have the fabulous wig. The dress is pretty straightforward. Just the same Vogue pattern we used for all of our Clow Cards, except extended into a full body suit. The wings and paperclay baubles were made by Sparkle Pipsi, as I said.
