YAY! I love this costume so much! My friends all vomited politely when I told them I wanted to do it, but that's okay. I made this costume for Anime Expo 2005. I used the same pattern as my Julia catsuit to make the basic form, then added a hood of a pattern of my own design to accommodate the cone. I threaded ribbon through the front opening to make it a drawstring that I could tighten around my face. I used red ribbon, which is inaccurate but cute. Yay! To make the hood stick up, I just stuck a styrofoam cone in there ^^; The ears I sewed craft wire into to make them hold their shape, and then sewed and glued them on to the outside of the hood. I used a Stretch and Sew lingerie pattern to make the underwear, then finished the top seam with a piece of black duck cloth to make sure it would hold it's shape and look like a belt. I closed it on one of the side seams with glued on snap tape. The buckle I made out of Model Magic and then painted yellow. I used blue twill and a pattern of my own design (based roughly on a purse I have) to make his blue backpack. Then I finished the top off with a drawstring of red ribbon to make sure I could close it. I usually add things to this costume every time I wear it. I covered a beach ball with red and yellow fabric and attached it to the back of the hood, so it looks like I have Tingle's floating balloon. XD I LOVE TINGLE! I'm sorry if I made anyone want to punch me.
