I had planned on having this completed by Fanime 2005, but when Ragnarok Online threw a cosplay contest, I kicked it up a notch to get it finished in time. I re-did the boots and bought a bow for Fanime 2005. I used white linen and gold satin for the top, and brown microsuede reinforced with heavy interfacing for the skirt and shorts. I used a Butterick pattern for a hooded sweatshirt (forgot the number) for the top. I had to alter it somewhat of course - belling out the sleeves, making it more fitted underneath the bust, making the hood larger. For the shorts I used a Vogue pattern for high waisted old lady shorts, and then just cut it down to where I wanted and added darts in the back to make it fit without a belt. The skirt I used a skirt of mine for a pattern, and then cut it down until it was the right size on the shorts. All of the trims are 1 & 1/2 inch ribbons, blue and green, sewed to the correct size and then folded over to finish the edge. Then gold vest buckles, gold buttons, etc. The wig and the puppy love are my favorite parts! The wig is the Enchantment in the color Crave from amphigory.com. I just braided it and messed with the front a little bit. It couldn't be easier, and it was a much needed positive wig experience, lol. The puppy love, I bought a garland of flowers from Jo-Ann, used the floral stem on it for the base, and covered it with floral tape to get it to stay. Then I just hot glued on each flower all the way around. I was sooo happy with the way my boots turned out. I used foamies and found knee high belled boots at Wal-Mart. For the gold on the shoes, I just used gold trim and superglued it. Tee! The bow I bought off Ebay for 60 bucks...SO worth it though, especially for our Masquerade skit. I really love the way this costume turned out! This character is my real hunter from Ragnarok Online, from when I played. I'm was on the Loki server - Tavariel from Fatty Chubby Kitties. /purr
