About this Costume
Construction Details:
Looking back on this costume, it still stands as my most favorite costume i've made! I based it off the character sheet in the materials artbook, as well as the artbook image of Black Lady.

When I decided to do this costume finally, I started off with finding the right fabric. It took almost a year to find what I had in mind! When buying the fabric, i coordinated the different fabrics to make sure they wouldn't clash because of the many different textures, and most importantly color-wise things needed to mesh well with each other; the red metallic in the velvet, with the pink shawl, the magenta lining on the dress, and blue underskirt and the multi-color-toned top!!

The organza fabric i used for the top I referenced the color in the one artbook image Black Lady has it's this pink-sh brown hue color, and i felt it mixed well with all the other colors! Unfortunately i had to hand-stitch all the seams clean and doing rolled-hems for it, as it would warp, and holes would start forming if i pulled too much :(

The dress is fully lined, and I added the extra detail of including the pearl ankle straps- they were spray-painted and strung on elastic string!

Wig was crafted by windofthestars, I'm not really a wig person, and at the time I had never done any styling like this, so I did not want to risk that lol!
Personal Thoughts:
I absolutely adore the design black lady has and wanted to make it into reality, and really love the concept of Black Lady as a character good turned evil!
