It's made of cotton so it's a bit flimsy - not exactly the best material for Japanese garb, I know. I did help her in the patterning of the thing, but there are still a few inaccuracies. The under kimono (white collar and sleeves you see) is fake, btw. Captain armband is made out of balsa wood that was glued to a strip of fabric to tie on. The wood was slightly stained darker and the characters were hand-drawn on.
