Construction Details:

I originally had the costume as boy-type Ranma back in AX 1999, but it wasn't until NDK 2002 that I decided to try girl-type Ranma. I bought the Chinese outfit a few days prior to Anime Expo 1999. The only changes I made were with the buttons. When I bought the outfit, the buttons were red, and I remembered perfectly well that Ranma's buttons are yellow. I had some yellow polyester/ cotton fabric and decided to make the buttons out of that. I wore navy blue sweatpants, and black ballet shoes. Okay, Ranma doesn't wear ballet shoes, but it was pretty close to what she wore. *shrugs* I don't know... The wig I used was red, long, and wavy; it didn't have a braid when I bought it. The braid I did on my own. I don't know if you can notice, but I'm wearing blue color contacts. Last, but not least, my eyebrows are dark and thick, and I refuse to pluck them, which doesn't look good since I'm wearing a light colored wig. I took some tempera paint and painted my eyebrows. Okay, it was cheap way to do that, but it worked. :) You don't hear me, or anyone else complaining.
