Construction Details:

I had seen an illustration of Rhode wearing what appeared to be a black jacket with ruffles, and while the few photos from the manga were not clear, I wanted to reconstruct what I thought it looked like. This is a combination of art references and my own imagination, and to date it's one of the best jackets I've ever made. I love the coattails. It's also fully lined in a patterned red fabric, which I love.
