Construction Details:

This is the upgraded version of this costume, and the only version I've worn since. Those of you who've seen the previous version of this costume can see what I mean about the wig, sweater, and wand getting upgraded. My grandmother had actually knitted me a scarf since Dragon*Con 2005, but I decided that Sirius would indeed wear a satiny scarf like the one she made for the earlier version (don't ask how I came to that). Therefore, I loaned the knit scarf to my (step)sister for the two occasions she wore her own costume and now keep it on hand for actual everyday use as well as possible use for other characters (I've since used that one for Ginny, and may use that one exclusively now that the satiny one's not looking so good anymore).

Personal Thoughts:

When I came up with this costume, filming on the new movie had not yet begun, and I thought that the chapter of the book where this version of Sirius appears would be among those they couldn't or wouldn't film (not that I had any intention (still don't) of seeing the new movie either way, mind you). Meanwhile, I'm happy with the costume the way it is - no further changes will be made to make it more "accurate" to the new movie.
