Cosplayer Space Invader > Costume of Jane Judith Jocelyn / Calamity Jane (Trinity Blood)

FOR SALE (Costume Only)
Minimum Price: $500

Costume needs some small repairs from being in storage (snaps need to be resewn, replace a few rhinestones, small sections of trim need to be reglued, etc.). Costume is sold -AS IS-. Includes the hat, jacket with epaulettes, leggings, brooch, boots, and belts ONLY. My measurements are 32-25-39 so if you are close to that this will fit you. Measurements are slightly adjustable because the pants are stretchy and the snaps need to be resewn on the front of the jacket, so it can be realigned a tiny bit if needed.

About this Costume
Construction Details:
The hat for this costume was an adventure, to say the least. It was the first hat I had ever attempted to make, so there was lots of trial and error involved. After playing with it for nearly a month straight I finally figured out how to get the shape looking right. The hat and tailcoat are black cotton velvet, lined with a lightweight black-on-black floral jacquard. I used well over 20 yards of metallic gold braid trim on this costume, along with numerous gold filigree disks (the "buttons"), Swarovski crystal trim and flatback stones, and about a handfuls' worth of gold seed and bugle beads to embellish everything. The epaulettes are made of a composite of paperclay, metal studs, and pvc. The armor plates on the boots were made of Wonderflex, then covered over with layers of paint and detailing.
Personal Thoughts:
The hat kind of blocks my vision, and in any front-on shots it ends up looking like I have this black and gold fin growing down the front of my face D:. Bah. Oh, and the boots hurt. Bad. Standing and walking in 5" stiletto heels for hours on end is... not easy on the feet.
