Construction Details:

There is so much work in this costume, and I'm super happy with it. Each gold coin is a 2-sided resin cast. One side shows a poring, the other says "1 Zenny". The coins that weren't drilled and sewn onto my costume are in my friend's Merchant bag. I made each tassel and individually sewed them onto the cape. The sheer fabric was sewn with French seams, so everything is neat and tidy. The jewelry started as thin tubing that was glued into shape and painted gold. The red gems are from a holiday decoration that was just right. So much love went into this costume, I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Also thrilled- our group won best Journeyman for Friday at Otakon 2006.
