Construction Details:

I watched Gankutsuou and fell in love with the series, but I hadn't considered cosplaying from it until my friends formed a Gankutsuou group for FanimeCon 2006. They didn't have a Haydee yet, and I thought the design for Haydee was gorgeous (and challenging), and so this costume was born!

Personal Thoughts:

When I decided the cosplay this character, I really didn't know what I was in for. At first I looked for a fabric that would work for the outer dress, but it didn't take me long to realize that I wasn't going to find anything close. So I took my friend Scruffy Rebel's lead and decided to use iron-on transfers on the entire outer dress. This costume wasn't difficult in terms of sewing, but those transfers alone took me 25-30+ hours to iron-on. O.o
