I used to cosplay before it was a thing, I don't do much costuming now, but I'm trying to start again. I went to vampire, gothic, fetish & freak friendly clubs in NYC which had themes most nights. I dressed for the theme. I did not do character copies, usually originals or modded my normal way of dressing to the theme if I liked the theme.
