I used the same pattern as my previous Mami shirt to build this one. I added the black yoke and did the white details in satin stitching. This shirt has two hooks that close the neck while the size zip allows me to get it on and off. The majority of the shirt is bottom weight stretch sateen. The lower
...(Read More) sleeves are four way stretch matte lycra and the wrist flowers were made using super structure foam from Sew Much Cosplay. There is narrow bias tape hand stitched onto the wrist seams to make them clean. The skirt is two circle skirts of matte satin with 2 inch horsehair braid. The skirts are box pleated. The skirt has a size invisible zip.
nThe corset is the same pattern as my Mimosa corset just with some alterations. I used a pearl vinyl and lined it in duck canvas. I used twill tape to make the boning channels. I use spiral steel boning. I made bias tape out of gold and white faux dupioni. The white adds detail to the corset and finishes the bottom edge. The corset closes with a separating zipper. The sequins were left over from Asuna. I used six crystal belt buckles and sewed small rectangles from the matte satin for the details on the front.
nThe banners are bias cut white satin with the gold custom bias tape. The brooch is 3mm EVA foam. I used a hot knife to make the details. The inner layer has gold glitter vinyl for definition. I hand stitched pin backs to white fleece before attaching it to the brooch so it can securely pin to the banners.
nThe boots were purchased from Boot Barn. I patterned the gold parts and glued them down with E6000. They're embellished with topaz 20SS Swarovski stones.
nThe cape was drafted mathematically. It's made from red velveteen and blue matte satin. It is finished with the gold custom bias tape. I hand stitched the feather trim to the edges. The gold wrist velcro pieces are made from the same gold that is featured on the crown and the boots.
nThe designs on the back are white glitter heat transfer vinyl.
nThe dangley stars are Christmas tree toppers. I used a hot knife to remove the "tree stand" portions and filled the holes with worbla. I also created small loops out of worbla so they could be sewn onto my cape. I painted them black and then silver to match the silver glitter of the tree toppers.
nThe crown was made following an out of print pattern. I used super structure foam to build it as well. It is made from the gold holographic fabric, the red velveteen, some interfacing, and structure is provided with a small piece of poster board. It has over 100 pearls attached and nearly 8 yards of lace trim. It also has some topaz crystal trim and a small gold roll hemmed chiffon ruffle.
nThe chest bow is gold dupioni with a hand stitched pin back.
nThe feathers on the shirt snap on and off for easy laundering.
n
nThe wig is the same one from my previous Mami.
The socks are purchased from Sock Dreams.
