Personal Thoughts:

This is by far the most complex cosplay I have ever made - not to mention the most time, labor, and money-intensive one. It was my first time working with worbla (and all the materials associated with getting it smooth), my first fully enclosed suit of armor, and overall a huge learning experience. I'm sure I'd be more efficient now, but I had to learn somewhere, and where better than in a real labor of love? This outfit represents the person Iida himself most aspires to be, and my goal was to make it as real and believable as possible. I know I'll continue to finetune it for quite some time, but the reception I've received at cons thus far has been positive and encouraging. I anticipate bringing this to many cons in the future, and I hope to continue to get good photos as I improve it!
I used to use a wig for this, but now I use my real hair. These photos show both.
