About this Costume
Construction Details:
Suit, shirt, tie, and gloves easy enough to buy off-the-shelf. Had to hand-paint his collar pins (comedy/drama cut in half on one side, drama/comedy cut in half on the other); not hard to do just painted very carefully.

The mask was a whole other issue. Based on the artwork, the top of the mask has abstract human facial characteristics (cheeks, eye sockets, forehead) but the bottom is more abstract almost to the point of being featureless. No commercial mask I found had both elements. Tracked down a WWE "Sting" mask and used wonder putty to fill in the lower face (from the nose down everything was smooth), waited for the putty to cure and sanded it down to within an inch of its life then painted it a few times (black base coat, very spectral red spray paint).

To create the illusion of just being a floating mask on top of a suit, I work a black zentai suit and affixed the mask with velcro.
Personal Thoughts:
Again, a character I've never seen someone do before; a villain from DC Comic's "Justice Society of America," Johnny Sorrow.
