Construction Details:

Using high res reference images, I sculpted the hilt of the sword from clay and created a mold. I also molded the individual gems. I then cast the hilt and gems in resin, and made the blade from wood. Once the two were fitted together, I painted it in spray paint and rub and buff before adding the gems.

Personal Thoughts:

The official sword you can buy is too small in scale to my size to appear to be a real sword, so I decided to make my own instead. The mold process was a good choice, now that I have the mold I was able to make a few more of these as commissions.
