About this Costume
Construction Details:
My goal was to make Anna's costume a little bit more fancy, so I embellished the original design quite a bit but not too much like I usually do for my costumes. I wanted to maintain the spirit of the original design but add my own little twist to it.

The skirt was made out of Pointe de Roma knit fabric since it was one of the only royal blue fabrics I could find while I was at the Joanns, and I wanted to mimic the textures in the film. It has a nice feel to it and the color just SCREAMED Anna. I bought an extra fabric in a lighter blue, which I think was some kind of satiny material I found in the suiting section and cut scallops with them and appliquéd them on by machine. All the panels were painted by hand and I tried out making stencils for each of the designs, and may I just say it made the job so much easier :) Each of the flowers and points of the scallops on the bottom are accented with little rhinestones for a bit of a magical princess feel. I made an underskirt with some basic cotton and added a sequin trim on top of the scalloped hem to mimic a sort of frost bitten look

The cape was made of polar fleece and lined with a cheap satin I bought on Ebay. I was lucky enough to find the perfect color match XDD The cape is hand painted on the edges to make it accurate but some of the shaping came out kinda odd. But I think it works :3 The clasp was a lucky find on Ebay. :)

The blouse was made from an Oxford cotton material and it has some embroidery stitching on the front. It zips up in the front and is painted on the cuffs in that motif she has in the parks. The corset was bought and edited. I painted the rosemaling on the front and added shoulder sleeves and accented the shoulder sleeves with some gold trim and some black lace to match the corset. The corset itself was trimmed with a gold roping XD

The boots were bought from a store in Vegas. They were later heavily sequined and accented with an A in the back of them like how the parks Anna does. :) I painted the soles of them with plain fabric paint
Personal Thoughts:
I've been following progress on Frozen since it was still in the concept art stages. I knew after seeing Anna's designs change so much since their first release, I wanted to cosplay her. After seeing the film I really feel like Anna and I are very similar. Plus I know how she feels of having that feeling of being shut out and being lonely :/
