Construction Details:

The shirt is made out of linen and lined in a matching broadcloth. The piping is also made out of linen -- there's about three yards total on the costume. All of the embroidery was done by hand and it was my first time EVER doing hand embroidery.

The breeches are made from brown sateen after the postal system ate the original fabric. They're fully lined in dark blue crepe satin and the waistband and hems are all finished by hand. The buttons are just covered button forms. They also have fake welt pockets in the back and the front pockets are actual, factual pockets.

The socks are actually green tights I ordered from Sock Dreams. I didn't want to put the orange stripes on them because, let's be honest, that's a hideous color scheme.


The gloves are made from the same sateen as the breeches.

Personal Thoughts:

The moment I saw the outfit in the anime, I had to make it. It made the original manga one so much more clear. I also made it a blend of the manga and anime by adding the embroidery to the front panel.
