About this Costume

Very little for this had to actually be made. The only struggle was the sword, being the first "big" prop I've made.
Used a 1x4 piece of wood, and cut the "blade" into it, and then used a combo of wood glue and wood filler to attach an un-cut portion of the 1x4 for the handle. Used paper clay, and then a thicker/stronger clay over that to mold and shape the guard, and used the paper clay again to make the outer circle on the guard (because it's more light-weight so it wouldn't break off too easily). Covered the handle in craft foam with the design cut out and painted grey/silver. Ended up used craft foam (due to a lack of time/funds) for the green "eyes" on the blade. - Personal Thoughts:
- Cosplaying a character like Shura was such a monstrous step for me in cosplay, because I've always stayed 20+feet away from skimpier costumes, due to personal comfort and that I felt like I have a solid "style" of what I cosplayed. HOWEVER, she was too much of a bamf for me to not cosplay, and I knew deep down that I needed to break out of my comfort-zone.
