About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Patterned and sewn by myself on black metallic spandex and Korean 4-way stretch vinyl (they say it's vinyl in the manga, so it made sense). The plugs are 3d printed, finished, molded, and cold cast in black Onyx resin, and filled with a UV reactive resin. The gun is made from casted Onyx, PVC, plexiglass, armature wire, metal rods, and springs which make the triggers functional. There is room in the handle for a battery pack and the 8 component lights are all hollow to permit the insertion of lights (coming soon) This is actually the second model of this gun I have made (the original being made in 2005 and it was awful).
- Personal Thoughts:
- I've been wanting to cosplay from Gantz since 2004. Basically every tool I own with the exception of my vacuformer was obtained to make this costume a reality. After 9 years I finally did it.
Wig Details
- How was the wig colored?
- N/A
- Styling Notes
- Since I couldn't find a good lace front, I decided that combing the front of my hair into the front of the wig would give a decent effect while still giving me a good hairline. 5 bajillion hairpins later, a massive amount of gel, some black hair spray, and regular hair spray, it was all done!
- Wig Review
- Can never go wrong with an Arda wig.
