About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Everything was purchased in one trip to Home Quarters warehouse. (HQ has since gone out of business thanks to Home Depot.) The trash cans were too small for us to fold our legs up into and completely transform. The lids also dug into our heads and the part of the can where we cut out the bottom was not smooth and tore up our legs. Cutting the thick Rubbermaid plastic by hand with some big tough scissors was hard. I didn't own a jigsaw or Dremel tool back then. The process took up an entire afternoon. Also, the cans we bought were green, not silver.
- Personal Thoughts:
- In 1985, I drew a comic called "Trashformers". For Halloween 1994, my college roommate and I dressed as Trashformers. It was funny...and we got lots of stares.
