About this Costume
Construction Details:
I am not pleased with the lapels at all. I had a hard time figuring out how to make everything work, in the original art there is a zig-zag line of trim that extends past the lapel line and I could not for the life of my figure out a way to make that look good. On top of that, I hate doing bias tape inner corners. I had a good-ish thing going but all of the curves and acute angles pissed me off, and I ended up just running out of time and doing the rest of it the lazy way (ie just folding it over and sewing it down) and you can tell in spots. I might go back and fix it, but I also kind of want to just focus effort on real dualscar. At the very least I may add the two missing details that I found after I'd finished it (and the art had been revised by the artist).

Also I didn't finish my dualscar wig in time so I just destyled my eridan wig and used it, and I'm kinda "meh" about that, the strip of hair is a bit too long for dualscar IMO (especially once I straightened it and slicked it down), and the style is a little too poofy. Plus, the wig kept sliding back on my head because of the horns so I look all foreheady in some of the pics, or if I'm really lucky, with my hair showing T_T
Personal Thoughts:
I nicknamed this outfit "renstuck" with GInny and decided to do it when I realized I didn't have time to make the full-on standard Dualscar costume and ginny had already finished her mindfang. Eventually managed to track down the artist so that I could credit appropriately. Still want to do normal dualscar, but this was a decentish hold-me-over. Or really hold-ginny-over, looooolll.
