Construction Details:

Planned late 2010 and slowly put progress from there, and faster as Fanime got closer. Everything except the kiseru, shoes, and edging were made by me. Blindfold, sleeves, and "shirt" was made from the same stretch material which luckily, doesn't fray. Hakama under robe used a TON of satin fabric, not made the traditional style, closed by a zipper on the side and belt loops to keep from falling, sadly I forgot to make the belt, but luckily I made it the right size and didn't fall off. Sash outside the hakama was measured and self painted with about 5 layers. 2 layers to mimic a mountain background, then a blue base, 1 light blue/white transparent layer for flowers, and 1 for petal-like effect. Two hair pieces, one with a rose sewn on to wire-edged ribbon. The other was tied into a bow, painted, then another 3-loop bow was tied on and both hair pieces were clipped with a safety pin and put on the wig with a wave clip. Arm sash was cut, fabric dyed twice, and water/acrylic painted flower petals for transparent effect. Thanks again to Kio(Len) who wouldn't allow me to make my own biased tape and made it herself for me!

Personal Thoughts:

The song was okay, and if it wasn't for the blindfold, I might not have done it, mostly because I dont like exposing too much skin XD but with the blindfold at least not too many people will know it's me. I walked around the con just fine since I could still see somewhat well though the blindfold, but when it got dark.... yeah.... Overall though, it might've taken more timed then I expected since I worked on it slowly, but I like how it came out. Also, I did have eye make-up on, too bad no one got pictures of it XD *spent maybe 40min to 1hr on it*
