Construction Details:

The costume was actually not that bad to construct. The only problem I had was the cape. The cape itself wasn't soo bad to make, but figuring out how to keep the collar on the cape from falling to the side and hugging my neck was a bit of a challenge. The pattern I use for the cape (yes..I use a pattern for the cape =P) had the collar sticking out (like a genric dracula cape). So to keep my collar from sticking out and falling down (when attaching the extra collar to the base collar) I cut the collar straight instead of round. And it work!!! XD I was looking at some other Raidou cosplayers and found out they were having similar problems too. The coat was straight forward. Its fully lined and I added a little pocket to the coat that is cover up by the flap. My favorite part of the coat is the accurate buttons I found online for $2 dollars (16 pack). The only thing I mess up on was the sleeves. They are waaaaaay toooo short..but now that I think of it. He wears a white shirt underneath and his cuffs on the white shirt are shown. I keep forgeting to wear the shirt. @_@ The pants I follow a pattern (forgot which one), but I made them more more form fitting and added the cuffs on the bottom. They are made from a strechy fabric (forgot the name) XD so when I sit down it doesn't ride up. The belt and pen holders were made by me, using a mock patten that I created. The sword I bought, painted over and the holster of the sword is attach to the belt, but the sword itself is deattachable. The gun was also bought too. Snaps are in the holster to keep the gun from falling out. The pens are Dr. Who screwdrivers and tube of bubbles (basically random stuff XD). The hat and shoes were brought online...but I added the emblem and white stripe to the hat. Enjoy. ^^

Personal Thoughts:

Surprisingly a fun costume to wear. I love how everything looks unstable, heavy and things will fall when running, but its totally the opposite. I ran a lot with this costume on and nothing fell apart. =D
