Construction Details:

sword is plywood. the belts are made from some pleather fabric I ripped off of a broken chair I found in a dumpster. they are all hand-stitched because the material kept jamming my sewing machine when I tried making them that way. all of the buckles were hand made by cutting wire and bending it into shape, and then soldering it. there are about 150 eyelets on the belts, all added by hand with the se of a leather punch and the little hammer tool that came with the eyelets. the small straps on the front are non-functional, and the costume is held shut with velcro strips. I bought the wings, but other than that, I made everything. this was my first complex costume, and my mother helped a lot since I had pretty much no clue how to sew at this point.
