Construction Details:

After complaining to Svetlana that she was going crazy with the zippers and belts on Matt's outfits, she assured me that his outfit in volume 3 of Dramacon would be much easier for me to cosplay. When I bought volume 3, I found out what she meant...he wore T-shirts. He's only in costume for a couple pages and there's never a clear view of that costume. Since I had already done volumes 1 and 2, I had to complete the trilogy and made my own shirt from volume 3.

Matt also wears a shirt that says, "Your village called. Their cosplayer is missing." I preferred this one. I masked out each of the letters on a black shirt and sprayed on white fabric paint. It took two coats.

Personal Thoughts:

I cosplayed as Matt from volume 1 and had a volume 2 costume in progress. I felt obligated to go 3 for 3 and have one of Matt's outfits from each volume. 99% of people won't recognize it as a costume (so I don't get recognized much) Also, the letters are spaced apart a bit too much...but people aren't likely to notice unless they compare it side-by-side to the manga.
