Well, the debut is made, and the secret is out. Presenting my custom "Angel Hughes" cosplay. Went over extremely well at the FMA gathering. Outfit: Once again, I have no sewing talent to speak of, so this costume was once again purchased from Cosplayhouse.com Great work, good prices, a little steep on the shipping, but worth every penny. They were more than happy to go custom on the colors. Prop: The angel wings. These took a LONG time to make (compounded by my own procrastination) but I am extremely happy with them. I started with a tutorial, seen here: http://www.paper-wings.org/tutorials/wings/wings.html After that I just altered it a bit to suit the shape I wanted. The "bone" of the wings and the harness are 1/4" aluminum tubing, and the rest is just as in the tutorial; duct tape, cotton batting, turkey feathers and a LOT of fabric glue. I did a bit of custom on the harness straps, using 1" and 2" elastic banding. Overall, I'm very happy at the reaction to this costume and very happy to have been able to finish it.
