Built for the 2009 costume contest at work (NamcoBandai) I always felt the Kuma costumes out there weren't convincing enough, so I decided to make one that blew them all away. I think I succeeded. Time to take it to a con now! I based the sphere pattern on a beach ball, built up a sphere made of foam core boards, lined it on the outside with foam padding, and sealed it with a brown fleece. I can see out of the helmet through the pupils of Kuma's eyes. Hard to walk with in dimly lit areas.
