Construction Details:

The jacket and shorts are made of black baby silk. The shirt is a white silk classic...something (forgot the name ^^;) and is entirely french-seamed with a rolled edge on the cuffs and bottom of the shirt. The shorts have a fully functional zipper fly. The jacket is fully lined and all buttons are functional...(Read More) including those on the cuffs and shorts. I made all the ruffle trim on the train myself. The "bustle" underneath the train is black suiting which I then embroidered my own pattern onto due to being unable to find a fabric I liked. I also made the gloves, eye patch, and sock garters. The top hat is a vintage top hat I bought online that I estimate to at least be 100 years old. I added the flowers and ribbon (which are not attached as I refuse to mess up that top hat!). I couldn't find any black fake roses so had to spray paint white ones black. I also made the Phantomhive pin and beaded the strings across the jacket together. The ribbon on my shoes were made as clip-ons so they can be easily attached. This whole costume was my most expensive to make and one of the hardest things I've ever attempted.

Personal Thoughts:

Despite the issues I had making this thing (mainly the shorts and issues with the fabric I used in general) I really love how this costume came out. I love wearing it even if it is a bit of a pain as I trip over my train constantly. ^^; But I love cosplaying Ciel in general.
