Construction Details:

The bodysuit was made out of Spandex. The vest was made using poly stretch satin (matte side) and filled with poly fluff. The pouches are duck cloth with bias tape around the edges. The heels were from Payless and my wig is from cosplayDNA on ebay (Thanks to Bubydub for doing the majority of the styling!!). The make-up was by far the most difficult thing about this costume. It was really difficult to get my eyebrows to become invisible since I have thick man eyebrows. It took me a long time to get the process down with the right products but I finally did it! The eye shadow is my favorite!

Personal Thoughts:

This costume is quite meaningful to me. I am proud of myself for sewing and patterning it by myself and for simply doing it! Not a lot of people have the balls to walk around in a costume like this, but I did, and it paid off when I won the ACP Gurren Lagann Contest at AX 2010! Kamina's voice actor and one of the show's producers chose me as the winner for the "Everyone Else" portion of the contest! Woo!
