Construction Details:

Most of the Parts from the costume came from thrift stores. The Jacket was sewn together by my friend Tikki. everything was dyed green, problem was different materials dye differently and thus the greens were all different instead of being one uniform color. the wings were painstakenly made of about 90 feet of 9 gauge steel wire. 4 wings of diferent shape and size. then covered with white cloth that was sewn on top of the wire. I made a harness of sorts that i had up and over and under and around me under the costume, in some sightly uncomfortable places. after the costume was on the wings were "bolted" to my back. i acctually didn't see what was going on, i just remember two people with clipers and wrentches, twisting and bolting them to my back, and being told not to move... when it was done they were Solid! only i didn't fit through doors... easily. Also i was painted green... and wore a green "troll doll" wig. I am proud of the costume and yet embarased by it at the same time. :-) btw. the wings were left behind at katsucon, in the crystal city hotel.
