Saber cosplay!!! whee..

Ok so I'm generally new to cosplay and sewing for that matter, but I'm trying to tackle a really big project and do saber from fate stay night. Scary I know. Anyways I was wondering if anyone had tips on sewing and patterns i could use for her dress. And I also wanted to do excalibur and all of her armor. so if anyone was familiar with making props like that that would be awesome too. Thanks ACP crew!! Help a sister out please!

Are you looking to commission Excalibur or make it yourself?

I was actually wondering if anyone had made it before and could tell me a good way to go about it. I want to make everything myself because i'm such a fan of the character.

I definitely recommend using this image: http://www.propsops.com/weapons/etc/excalibur/ex003.jpg

and designing a template based on it.

That's the method I used for making Archer's swords.

Great foam armor tutorial. Also using fiberglass, casting resin is a good idea as well :D

Thanks to both of you guys the craft foam is super sweet! and the picture is awesome :D now i just have to muster up the courage to actually pull it off....

saber is one one the interesting female character to be cosplay with..she's pretty cool with her clothes and sword..
i rarely see someone who cosplay as saber...
