Need help integrating plastic into costume! D:

Post by Tribal_Heart » Sat Dec 09, 2006 7:44 am

I plan on being Ignis from Jingai Makyou.
I just don't know what kind of fabric I should use on her.

The front looks like the white around her boobs would be made of hard plastic (not just cause this is a model either, in the art it does too) and the back I figured I'd just use sheer black fabric but I don't know what to line it with. It looks again like in the center there should be a hard plastic to line it with. Or at least a really thick fabric..

For a hard plastic material I would recommend using Wonderflex, which can be found at www.cosworx.com or www.cosplaysupplies.com - - It is a shapeable thermoplastic that comes in sheets. You can also get tips in the props forums on cosplay.com

There is also a shapeable moldable fabric called FossShape which you can buy at www.dazian.com Dazian fabrics

good luck ^_^
