Looking for ideas...

I have a couple of months before the next convention I am planning to attend and I would like to have a new costume ready. So far the things I have done were pretty generic, like the ANBU costume I wore last year, but I would like to do something a little different this time. That being said, I have had some trouble coming up with ideas, mostly because of my goofy red hair

I guess I could dye it if it comes down to that, but if you have any ideas that would be awesome! I am pretty proficient at sewing, but I don't have much of a budget

Ichigo! From bleach, red hair, what could be better. Or cross play Ed from Cowboy Bebop. add goggles and a dog. Ummmm give me a few minutes I know I'll come up with something more.

OO what about..AAHH I JUST HAD IT DX.................GOKU..SAN GOKU from Saiyuki...at least that way there would not be like 50 of you at the convention xD..yes it has a bit of brown to it...like a lot but in the anime it looks more red......

Ichigo really is a good idea, it's one of the people I was considering. And I love Goku from Saiyuki, it would be great to do something that isn't quite as popular and overdone. I've never seen Fruits Basket or Fushigi Yuugi, but thanks for giving me some new stuff to look into

he is coslpayed here, but not well or that many show up as him. Mostly narutards xD which I happen to be one of ;D

I don't know I'd have to get a group together to do it, and it doesn't seen anyone from AE wants to do it, so I think I am sticking to my original skit idea.

Thanks for the ideas! I'm surprised I never thought of Kenshin, I guess I haven't seen the show for so long it sort of slipped my mind. Now to do Rurouni Kenshin or the earlier Samurai X version

And thanks for the comment on my avatar, it's actually a character from a story I am writing. I think it would be fun to cosplay as Aevin, but no one would no who it was.

And I would love to see that skit also! Just find some friends and force them to help you out

I had never seen Code Geass before, but I just started watching it to get an idea of the character. I really like the style and I don't think it's something I would have run into otherwise. Thanks for the recommendation.

i still say go with Goku...it looks like you could have fun as him^^
the last time i was Yaone and my other 2 friends were Kougaiji and Yokai Goku and i was almost kidnapped by a Moroku who tried to drag me to his room....the Kou let go of Goku's chain...xD you should have seen that Moroku's face xD...he freaked...becouse she even had the long ass nails and everything...IT WAS EPIC LULZ

Alright, friend. I always try to find someone King of Fighters for people to be.
Three options.
1. Ramon
Most of his pics have blonde hair, but I know there's some with a light red. I think you could do it.

2. Iori
You'd have to grow your hair a bit and use hair cement, but you could pull him off as well, in my opinion.

and 3. (if you decide to die your hair) K9999
(pronounced K-4-9)
Pretty much just the dude from Akira.

But, those be my recomendations. Enjoy.

I did actually think about pulling ideas from fighting games just as an excuse to show off some martial artsy kind of stuff at the con. I've been studying various martial arts for 11 years now and I love doing public demos and stuff like that. I've never actually played King of Fighters, but the character designs look really cool. And those sites are awesome, plenty of different angles and references to base my ideas off of.

I'm kind of curious though, is K9999 actually supposed to be Testuo from Akira? Are they related in some way... or was that just more or less a rip off for design ideas?

Actually he's just a carbon copy... No relation whatsoever. This one Character i never heard of. SNK found the idea to use Akira's Tetsuo. And see where they go with that. It was pretty cool. But some may say if Tetsuo didnt die in Akira what would of happened? Heres your solution.

Or wait did Tetsuo die? im not sure the ending is rather difficult to tell.

Probably it is... Though ive seen deaths that look like they are gone for good but it turns out they still live.
