Battle City-Seto Kaiba help

I need help with only 1 thing.
The first thing is the thing I'm absolutely stumped on. The cuff things on Kaiba's arms.

Yeah, most people I see do them as soft parts, not hard vambraces. I know methods of making it out of hard material, but it usually involves a bit more time, effort, skill, money, and patience. :)

My boyfriend made his from sheet metal (carefully, the edges are very sharp!)

I'm having a hard time finding a clear shot (the duel disk covers a lot)
