Finished Monster Hunter Sword w/ WIP

Hey all just finished another sword and wanted to show how it was made. It's a very simple build but it has a lot of nice fundamentals that people can use in making their own blades.

Here is the reference. Odyssey Blade from Monster Hunter.



Printed it out on card stock to get the correct sizing and proportions.



Then cut it out of 3 layered pieces of wood (MDF) and glued them together.



Added bondo for the blade's bevel as well as some foam, bondo and apoxie sculpt to build up the other bits.



Finally painted it with spray paints, weathered with acrylic and sprayed over with a gloss clear coat. Thanks for reading!
